What to include in a digipak & What it is

There are many things which needs to be included when creating a digipak in order to make a good album cover. A digipak is a specific type of packaging for CDs or DVD's, typically made from cardboard with an internal plastic holder for on or more discs. Me and my group will be making our own digipak with original images taking ourselves for our music video disc. Digipak's must include the name of the artist or band and the name of the album displayed somewhere. The pack is separated into 6 sections, these sections consists of 3 sections on the front and 3 sections at the back. These sections consists of specific aspects relating to the album. For an example, the tracks on the album are typically displayed at the central back cover of the album. Artists tend to be creative when organising there digipak cover by placing there texts in specific places and fonts in order to say something about the cover and give views an impression which reflects the album itself. The colours, positions of items, size and layout are what determines the content of the digipak. These elements are what people look at before buying an artists's album and if presented in an effective way can be a good way to catch peoples attention making them want to be interested in what is in the disc. Digipak's also include specific themes which reflects the content of the album and the artist(s) such as nature or death. I am looking forward to participating in making the digipak for our music video and making it as original and icons as possible.
