5th day of filming

Today was our 5th day of filming which proved to be a very productive filming session as we managed to get a lot of footage's. Today we filmed our band performance scene in our schools drama room in our cool Ska costumes with instruments. The facilities available in the drama room enabled us to be able to use stage lights and choose what sort of background we wanted to use. We took this to our advantage as we used a plain black curtain as our background display. We chose this colour in order to match our costumes as we were all wearing black and white therefore having a black background word emphasis the Ska theme. We also put the lighting into good use as used a spotlight on the led singer to highlight his significance in the band and to also make the whole scene look more interesting to watch.

 In terms of filming, we filmed the performance scene over and over again in order to get a variety of angle shots so that we have a lot of shots to work with when editing the full video. We made sure that we also included some close ups of our instruments, wide shots to display the full performance, mid shots to get a closer view of us performing and a Pan of the led singer watching the camera as it goes across him, this will look effective because it displays a connection between the singer and viewers.
