4th day of filming

Last week Sunday was our fourth days of filming. This session proved to be highly productive and worth while because we were all able to visit our filming locations such as Piccadilly Circus, Westminster bridge and the St. James Park in London as a collective group with everyone present which resulted in us getting a considerable amount of footages in our storyboard recorded. The weather was yet again terrible as it was extremely cold, windy and we received some light showers. As you can see keeping warm to us was essential!.

Our journey to London and back to Dagenham proved to be very stressful, tiring and expensive due to the unviability of the district line service between Barking and Tower Hill. This meant that we had to find take alterative lines in order to go around the district line and get to Liverpool Street. This took use a number of trains as we had to take the c2c train then Central line then Northern line and then back to the Central line in order to get to London. When we found out about the termination of then district line in some areas we were very tempted to call it off and reschedule, but we just put our heads down and got on with it because we really needed the filming time and us getting such an opportunity were every member is free may not come again during the week so we had to sees the opportunity.

The first place we visited was Westminster bridge were we recorded some of the group performances and also some shots of the lead singer in our music video which we hope to use at the beginning of our video. We choose to use this location because of the excellent view and atmosphere, it also an iconic location because Big Ben was present not too far away. We did this in order to show the examiner that we had really though about interesting and different places to film our scenes in, hopefully our efforts will pay off.

After recording all the aspects needed from our storyboard we went to our next location which was St. James Park which is another iconic location as it is next to the house of parliament and is where the royal family can be located. At this location we filmed the scenes were our lead singer Tom starts his childish behaviours and pretends to be Superman. Whist filming here we got a lot of very interesting shots which we will be using midway in our music video where our Tom aka Superman begins to act like superman.

After our trip to St. James park we took a quick lunch break before heading off to our finally location of the day which was Piccadilly Circus where me and Connor went to film on our 2nd day of filming. At Piccadilly circus we filmed some more footage of the lead singer Tom pretending to be superman. This was a great ideal place to film this because there was lots of tourists presents which makes the whole thing look more realistic as we got footage of people starring at Tom and looking at him like a weirdo because her running around in a giant red cape pretending to  be superman. As our filming at Piccadilly circus progressed we started to lose day light as it got dark. This proved to have been beneficial as everywhere looked even more beautiful and interesting at night because of all the bright lights and a number of tourists attractions such as people dressed up in costumes. We found a man dressed up in a Star War costume pretending to be Dark Vader. We recorded some good footage of Tom posing with him which will look really good in our music video after some editing.
